Since Alexandre Gama was named as the absolute most popular marketing executive in Brazil, he has gained popularity at a worldwide scale. The Cannes Festival often invites him for many of his projects and he has won 23 first place awards in total. The APP considered him to be the best CEO in Brazil in 2006. Meio & Mensagem newspaper named him within the top 10 leaders of the marketing industry.
Beginning his career in copywriting after college, Alexandre Gama had become one of the most prolific writers in Brazil during the 1990s. He had done much of his work for DM9, Almap BBDO, and Young & Rubicam.
There was a huge spike in his career when he released the Rock Giant campaign for Johnnie Walker. This campaign was used internationally both to promote Brazil and the whiskey company. He also had a recent win for his piece on gender and sexuality tolerance at the Cannes Festival.
