Disney World’s “Be Our Guest” Restaurant Will Change To Prix-Fixe Only Menu

Disney executives announced the popular Be Our Guest restaurant will only offer a prix-fixe menu from July 27th onwards. This is the latest of many price increases in recent days at Orlando’s iconic Walt Disney World Theme Parks.

This prix-fixe menu will replace the current à la carte menu and include three courses for both kids and adults. Anyone over the age of 10 must pay $55 for this three-course meal and kids under 10 will be charged $35.

Located in the Magic Kingdom, the Be Our Guest restaurant serves French cuisine inspired by the 1991 movie Beauty and the Beast. As visitors enjoy their cuisine, they can explore various themed-rooms in the Beast’s castle and meet characters from the movie.

Ever since it opened a few years ago, the Be Our Guest restaurant has been a hit with visitors. Tourists still need to book reservations months in advance to get inside this restaurant.

Executives said most food items will remain the same on the new prix-fixe menu, but they will add some new appetizers and entrées. A few items that will definitely stay on the menu include French onion soup and lamb chops.

People who take part in the Disney Dining Plan will have to pay two Table Service credits to dine at Be Our Guest. As of today, Be Our Guest is a one Table Service credit restaurant.

Be Our Guest might not be the only Magic Kingdom restaurant that’s changing its menu options. The Pinocchio Village Haus, just a few feet away from Be Our Guest, is also rumored to be testing a prix-fixe dinner menu. Walt Disney World has not made an official statement on this Italian restaurant.

There are, however, three restaurants in the Magic Kingdom that sill offers à la carte menus: Tony’s Town Square, Jungle Navigation Co. Ltd., and the Plaza Restaurant.
