Some actors begin their career after they’ve finished college, yet for some, acting is a passion that starts at the very beginning. Crystal Hunt is an actress who’s been working almost her entire life, and now she is making headlines with her roles as a grownup actress.
Hunt made her first stage appearance (at age two) in a pageant and from then went on to commercials. She won featured roles on two top daytime soap operas, “One Life to Live” and “Guiding Light” as a teen performer, and was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award for “Guiding Light.”
Now Crystal is on the big screen as a grownup star, in the sequel to the 2012 Stephen Soderbergh film, “Magic Mike.” “Magic Mike XXL” brings back Channing Tatum in the role of Mike, and Hunt joins the cast as Lauren, an eccentric woman Mike and his friends meet in their travels. According to Hunt, the shoot was a fun and very empowering one. She had the opportunity to work with a top cast of stars that included Andie MacDowell and Elizabeth Banks.
Now Crystal is returning to television, too, with a role on “The Queens of Drama,” which is a docu-series starring several former soap stars. The fun series is a quasi-reality show based on some of the real life experiences of its stars, including Donna Mills of “Knots Landing.” The show has drama to spare but also brings in a dose of reality to the script. Fans of Hunt and soap operas will be sure to tune in to this lively series.
